Diagnostic devices

Our practice is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment to make a diagnosis quickly, without contact and precisely, and to initiate therapy

Slit lamp examination

The slit lamp allows for a detailed examination of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye under high magnification. This enables precise assessment of the cornea, lens, conjunctiva, and eyelids, and the early detection of even the smallest changes.

Eye pressure measurement/

Goldmann tonometry

This method allows us to measure the pressure in your eye with exceptional accuracy. Elevated eye pressure can be a sign of glaucoma and should be detected early.

The examination is painless, quick, and very reliable.

Visual field examination

Visual field testing assesses your peripheral and central vision. It is particularly important for the early detection and monitoring of diseases such as glaucoma or neurological conditions.

Axle length measurement/

biometrics

With this device, we precisely measure the length of the eyeball. This measurement is particularly important for children with nearsightedness, as the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) is directly related to the growth of the eye's length.

OCT cross-sectional imaging

With OCT, we create high-resolution cross-sectional images of the retina – contactless and painless. This allows diseases such as macular degeneration or glaucoma to be detected early and monitored precisely.

Netzhautfotographie

The fundus camera takes color images of the retina and optic nerve. These images serve for precise documentation and help to reliably detect and monitor changes in the back of the eye.

Corneal topography

The corneal topographer measures the surface of the cornea without contact and creates a highly precise, color-coded map of its shape and curvature.

The examination is particularly important for the early diagnosis of keratoconus – a disease in which the cornea gradually thins and bulges.

The measurement is quick, painless and provides important information for diagnostics, monitoring of progress and planning.

Laser treatments

Our laser allows for the gentle and precise treatment of certain eye conditions.
For example, the YAG laser is used to treat secondary cataracts, while SLT treatment can lower intraocular pressure in glaucoma – on an outpatient basis, with minimal pain and without incisions.

Color vision test/

Anomaloscope

We use an anomaloscope to examine your color vision with particular precision. The examination reveals whether colors – especially reds and greens – are perceived normally or whether a color vision deficiency is present.

The test is painless, takes only a few minutes and delivers very precise results.
